CURRICULUM
The Holistic Hospital Doula:
Goal: To prepare the Doula to successfully navigate the protocol and environment of the Hospital while being present and holding space. To give the doula confidence and information to strengthen their ability to meet the needs of their families within the hospital model.
Objectives:
- Educate Doulas on hospital protocol and acclimate them to the hospital birth team. Roles and responsibilities.
- Educate Doulas on hospital technology and terminology
- Advise Doulas on how to support Informed Consent and assist families with medical decision-making.
- Support Doulas in assisting their families with their desired birth
